About videoworkouts
History
Videoworkouts was created in June
2004. I had a binder full of notes about fitness videos and someone
suggested I should make them public and help other people.
About the Author
I started exercising when I was a student back in 1995.
In Europe, we had the Gilad's Bodies in Motion show on TV and I followed
it religiously. It was then that I decided to buy some of his videos and
stumbeled upon
collagevideo
from an ad in
Shape Magazine. I bought some videos but found they were hard to
follow as you have to mirror the instructor and some of them don't
mirror-cue.
I was interested in trying step-aerobics, but did not
want to invest the money in a step for my home. So I signed up for gym
classes. I loved it so much that I became an instructor in 1997.
Fitness videos were still an integral part of my
routine, as I fed my creativity with the moves and also for my own
workouts. I taught classes until I became pregnant with my son, born in
April 2003. Because I already am away from home too much for work, I
haven't taught much after that other than the occasional sub-classes,
but am continuing my exercise program at home with videos. I do want to
teach again at some point, but right now I want to enjoy spending more
time with my family.
