Fitness History
I've always been active in sports, dance and music. This lifestyle flowed
over into my adult years and I couldn't imagine living any other way. It is a
way of life.
Fitness Secret
I get a lot of sleep and i take time each day to focus on myself and to
unwind so I can be fully energized and focused on my workout. I visualize each
muscle working and how I want to shape it. I always take a day off to
re-energize myself. Taking a day off makes me anxious to work out the next day
and throughout the week.
Nutritional Secret
I don't feel that extreme diets (i.e. no carbs) are healthy in the long run,
and the long run is what I'm focusing on. I eat eggbeaters with low-fat cheese
in the morning, a protein bar mid-morning, a salad with chicken or tuna at
lunch, and some popcorn and maybe an apple mid-afternoon for a carb pic-me-up.
For dinner I eat cottage cheese with fruit and a veggie burger.
Secrets for beginners
Beginners must keep in mind that we were all like them at one point. They
will make themselves so proud as they watch their strength and vitality
increase. Keep going - it only gets better!
Reason for being a FIRM instructor
I am so proud to be an instructor at The FIRM. 10 years ago when I joined the
FIRM I had come from a different gym where we instructed a totally different
kind of workout (i.e. high impact for an hour). I instantly saw results with The
FIRM workout that I hadn't seen previously, and I was hooked.
