Fitness History
I began lifting weights my senior year of college after gaining 20 poounds.
Teaching at The FIRM for the past seven years has gotten me in the best shape of
my life.
Fitness Secrets
My best advice is "everything in moderation!" Do not be afraid to
use heavy weights.They will give you the results you want! Plan ahead. Plan your
workouts and meals ahead of time - it will keep you focused.
Nutrition Secrets
For breakfast, try egg whites scrambled with frozen spinach or broccoli and
wheat toast. For a snack try tuna (packed in water) with sliced apples. Do not
beat yourself up if you overeat - get over it and move forward. Eat small,
frequent meals to keep your blood sugar level and to avoid binges.
Secrets for Beginners
Patience! Everyone's body responds differently to exercise and diet. Take
your time to learn each exercise and which body part it is working. Set
realistic goals and believe in yourself. Being fit is a lifestyle change - not a
quick fix to lose weight. you can do it!
