Fitness History
A friend of mine told me about a gym that had the most amazing instructors -
they had curves and they were strong. I couldn't believe it when I discovered
that she was talking about The FIRM - the same people that created the videos I
had been doing for almost three years. I immediately became a client and
eventually an instructor. Since then I've been in the best shape of my life and I
feel like I continue to get stronger and healthier with each workout.
Fitness Secrets
I like to change my weights every workout and lift different weight depending
on what exercise I am perfoming. This ultimately maximizes each of my workouts
and my results.
Nutritional Secrets
Think of your body as a car and food as your fuel. If you put high quality
food into your engine, you'll perform more efficiently! If you fill your tank
with low quality, processed foods, you'll feel sluggish and your body will not
perform to its optimum level.
Since I'm in outside sales, I pack a cooler with lunch and snacks and take it on
the road with me. For an afternoon snack I may have peanut butter and crackers
or yoghurt and granola.
Secrets For Beginners
It's important to remember that we were all beginner with that very first
workout. Take the time to learn proper form and know which muscle groups you're
targeting. Form is critical with strength training and by taking the time to
make sure you're doing it correctly, you'll get better and faster results.
